SEEAT Staff Day 2025

On Friday 14th February 2025, SEEAT staff from across all schools and central services, came together for SEEAT Day 2025. This is a training day where staff can pick their own training sessions and collaborate to gain knowledge, insights and new ideas. We welcomed SLT, teachers, and support staff from all schools, including for the first time Cornelius Vermuyden School, who are currently being supported by SEEAT.

With sessions ranging from Fixing Full Stops, the Use of AI, Remembering the Why, Girls and ASD, and Handling Parental Complaints amongst so many others, staff were able to learn from experts in their fields, and choose subjects which would help them in their roles.

The day started with a welcome from CEO Andrew Cooper and Director of Education Rebecca Geoghegan. There was special recognition for staff members who had completed 10, 20 and 30 years service at SEEAT, and they were presented with lapel badges to acknowledge their dedication to education.

After attending a range of sessions, staff were treated to a buffet lunch where they had the chance to further discuss their learnings.

The highlight for many staff members, was the keynote speech at the end of the day delivered by Abrilli Phillip, Director of Education and Learning at the London Borough of Lambeth. Abrilli spoke candidly about her experience of growing up in Trinidad, the death of her brother and about how she first started questioning everything she previously believed about education. Her speech about the challenges faced by pupils in the Borough of Lambeth left us feeling inspired.

With thanks to our SEEAT Education Team for putting on this fantastic day and the team at The Deanes for hosting.

We are already looking forward to SEEAT Day 2026!
