Westcliff High School for Girls shine at the Music and Drama Education Awards

Last week, Mr Cottee and Ms Birch from Westcliff High School for Girls attended the Music and Drama Education Awards held in London at the Royal National Hotel.

A prestigious event celebrating the nation's best Music and Drama education, WHSG was proud to be nominated for the MTI Award for Achievement in Musical Theatre Provision for their staff and students' success in promoting musical theatre in their annual school show.

They were particularly recognised for their award-winning shows, increase in LAMDA provision, encouragement of women in the technical and backstage side of theatre and commitment to diversity and inclusion in the arts.

Whilst they didn't win, the school is exceptionally proud to be nominated for such a prestigious award and it is a testament to the commitment and enthusiasm of staff, students and the wider musical committee.
