Hadleigh Junior School met the Mayor!

On Wednesday17th, the School Parliament visited the Mayor of Castle Point at the Council Offices. They got to use the microphones in the Council Chamber to ask the Mayor questions about her role and how she thinks that she has performed in her role. They were also able to make some suggestions about what they would like to have available for young people in our local area. They got to explore the offices, including the Mayor's parlour and the bunker and got to try some chains too - they were surprisingly heavy! Some members are now interested in finding out more about the Youth Council which is being launched by the Mayor soon. The Mayor was impressed by their inquisitive and thoughtful questions as well as their behaviour. Well done everyone.
